so the timing of the holiday varies from late january to early february. to the ordinary chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar new year's day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. but the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the lantern festival, means the official end of the spring festival in many parts of the country.
spring festival is the most importantand popular festival in china.before spring festival ,the people usually clean and decorate their houses.and they go to the flower fairs to buy some flowers.during spring festival ,the adults usually give lucky money to children.people often get together and have a big meal.some people eat dumpling for dinner.

故事一：今年新年里我妈妈给我买了好多好多气球，于就是大年三十那一天，我和弟弟妹妹一齐把所有的气球全都充满了气，就这样我们家满地的气球。看着大人们在厨房里忙进忙出的，我们决定要为家里增添一点新年的气氛。我从房间里拿出许多的红线，让妹妹把气球用线系好，我则把系上红线的气球，挂在家里的各个位置：走廊上、门框上、电灯上、电器上、镜子前……家里顿时充满新年的气氛。这时大人也把准备好的饭菜端了出来，几家人在一齐吃上了一顿难得的团圆饭。吃完饭就就是各自活动了，小孩嘛不就就是电脑吗？我这个孩子王带着弟弟妹妹去玩电脑了，老人们坐在沙发上看春节联欢晚会，大人就围着桌子聊家常，时不时地给我们这群小孩那点美食，给老人端茶送点水……新年的钟声即将敲响，大家开始准备迎接新年的到来：爸爸们拿上烟花、高声，孩子们带上装扮剩余的气球。5、4、3、2、1“砰”爸爸点燃了新年的好运气，“啪”我们踩碎了往年的不顺（气球）。在欢乐中我们迎来了新的一年……

准备工作完成，我和妈妈便开始包馄饨了，我一边拿起馄饨皮，一边想，包馄饨多简单。不就就是拿一张馄饨皮来，加上肉末，再用手捏起来就能够了吗！这能难倒我。想着就拿起馄饨。

我是个活泼、开朗俊俏的小女孩。我的个头不高，身体不胖。有一头乌黑油亮的头发，我总是面带微笑，红红的小脸蛋像是一朵要开的花。我喜欢穿校服，老师和同学们都喜欢我。
我很大方，记得有一次，表弟来我家玩，我赶紧把家里我最喜欢吃的水果和饮料都拿出来给表弟，我还亲切的对表弟说：“慢慢吃，吃完了我再给你拿。”表弟看到有这么多好吃的好喝的，高兴得又蹦又跳，表弟可能太兴奋了，一不小心，把果汁撒到我心爱的布娃娃上了，表弟怕我不高兴，害怕极了。我赶紧微笑着对表弟说：“没关系，我把它洗干净就可以了。”表弟这才放下心来，又高兴得大吃大喝了起来。
我的爱好很广泛：画画、书法……我都很喜欢，但我最喜欢的还是书法，记得有一次，我在练书法时，我越写越入迷，不知不觉三四个小时过去了。吃饭的时间到了，姐姐连叫了我好多遍都没听见，当姐姐走过来拍我肩膀时，我还被吓了一大跳呢！
我还有很大的一个优点就是助人为乐。因为我读书多，学习也不错，一般问题也难不倒我，况且我又是一个热心人，所以同学们有了困难都愿意找我帮忙，记得有一次，记得有一次，有一位同学遇到了非常难的思考题我发现后立刻跑到他面前，热情地对她说：“你那里不会？我来给你讲！”说完，我便耐心地给他讲解起来，果然，我讲的很有用，不一会儿她就会做了。大家都叫我小老师呢！
老师对我们讲过，不能光看到优点，也要看待自己的缺点。我最大的缺点就是粗心，为此我也很苦恼，每当考试都会因为粗心剪个一分两分的，对于我这个粗心的人来说考个满分还真实不容易。但我下定决心，今后一定想办法解决掉这个粗心的毛病。
